Data collected
Browsing scienceprotect.com does not trigger any collection of personal data for audience measurement or advertising. The personal data processed is what you voluntarily submit through the contact form: first name, last name, professional email, company and message.
When a technical error occurs in your browser, an error report is sent automatically, without your IP address (see "Error monitoring" below).
Purpose and legal basis
This data is used exclusively to respond to your information or demo request. The legal basis for processing is your consent, given by submitting the form.
It is kept for as long as necessary to process your request, then deleted or archived in accordance with applicable legal retention periods.
Recipients
CheckTheNet does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. It is only accessible to internal teams handling requests.
Technical error reports are sent to our processor Sentry.
Error monitoring
To detect and fix malfunctions on the site, we use Sentry, a service of Functional Software, Inc., 45 Fremont Street, 8th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States, acting as a processor on our behalf.
When an error occurs in your browser, a technical report is sent to it: the error message and where it happened in the code, the address of the page you were viewing, and the type and version of your browser and operating system. Your IP address is not stored.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.
These reports are stored in the European Union, in Frankfurt (Germany). As Sentry is a US company, access from the United States remains possible: it is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Sentry participates, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses should that framework be invalidated.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data.
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@scienceprotect.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
Cookies
The site uses no advertising tracking cookies, and only sets technical cookies strictly necessary for it to function.
Traffic is measured with Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that collects neither personal data nor IP addresses. No prior consent is therefore required, and no cookie banner is needed.
Error monitoring by Sentry sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser's storage.
